Welcome to Jonathan's Reptiles, an accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in the heart of Wasilla, Alaska. Established in 2016, our mission is to provide a safe haven for reptiles in need and ensure their well-being. 100% of the proceeds from paid services and donations support our mission.
From 2016 to 2023 we were a rescue organization but as Alaska's reptile community has grown, Jonathan's Reptiles has shifted its focus toward education, responsible ownership, and helping connect reptiles with new homes through community-based rehoming. This allows us to reach more people while still providing rescue assistance when resources permit.
During our ten years of operation, we've helped rescue and rehabilitate over 500 herptiles and invertebrates, from the smallest frog to the largest monitor. We've put on an average of 60 public and private events per year, have helped owners ship their animals all over the world, and have found incredible forever homes for countless cold-blooded critters.
